A session Matthew calls The Bankable Inventor, aimed at a problem most teams meet only in hindsight: across every major patent office an inventor has to be a human, so AI-assisted work needs a human it can name. He works through documenting that contribution while the R&D is happening, and filing on AI-assisted work without giving up the patent. An educational session, so attending creates no solicitor-client relationship.
Anu's Take
The rule has already been tested. An AI called DABUS was named as inventor on filings in more than a dozen jurisdictions and refused by the USPTO, the EPO and a unanimous UK Supreme Court. The one grant, in South Africa, came from an office that checks the formalities and not the substance.
