The Vital Data Mini-Con is a half-day symposium hosted by the Victoria Data Society at the Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion, focused on data and AI in healthcare. Health data has never been more important or more fragmented, with valuable information across Canada locked in systems that do not communicate effectively while AI advances rapidly. The event brings together practitioners from healthcare, technology, research, and government for practical, grounded conversations about moving from fragmented to functional health data systems. It is aimed at data analysts and engineers, healthcare IT professionals, researchers, students, and digital health and policy professionals. Capacity is limited to 100 attendees, with a lineup of industry experts and light refreshments included.
