In this VIATEC AI Meetup Business Track session, John Zubak of Zubak & Associates presented Digital Humans for Business: Where Avatars Actually Work (and Where They Don't). The talk addressed how avatars, or digital humans, are moving from novelty to practical business tool when applied in the right places and with the right guardrails, letting organizations scale communication and digital presence without turning every message into a full video production. Attendees left with a decision framework for when avatars create real value, the highest-impact use cases such as sales outreach, onboarding, customer updates, internal communications, and training, and a simple message to script to video workflow. Zubak also covered a realism-and-trust checklist and implementation guardrails around disclosure, consent, and brand trust. He has spent roughly a decade at the intersection of sales enablement and technology, with about 90 percent of his current work in AI consulting.
