Data Day: Azure Cloud Data Platforms

Data Day was a full-day, in-person upskilling experience hosted by the Victoria Data Society and designed to build real fluency in modern data architecture. The program moved from foundational concepts such as the medallion architecture and the lakehouse paradigm through to the practical realities of working with Microsoft Fabric's OneLake and Databricks in production environments, with a deliberate progression from architectural principles to in-the-weeds guidance. Speakers included Andrew Boudreau, a Solutions Architect at Microsoft, Michael Kares, Head of Enterprise Sales at AOT Technologies, Helen Fotos, a Partner at MNP, and Abin Antony, a Principal Architect at AOT Technologies.
