Software Leadership Peer Roundtable Restart

This VIATEC peer roundtable brings together senior technical leaders, including CTOs, architects, and experienced developers who shape technology strategy within their organizations. Over the coming year, the monthly meetings will explore a central theme: the role of software developers and engineering leadership when AI agents can generate the majority of the code. Discussions will examine what quality, correctness, reliability, and maintainability look like in that world, what oversight mechanisms and engineering principles must evolve, and how to architect large enterprise systems such as ERPs and CRMs when AI agents produce more errors as context windows expand. The group will also consider the new skills and artifacts, such as structured prompts and domain specifications, that engineering teams will need.
