A Friday-morning hike up Mount Douglas Park for women business owners who want to talk shop and get their steps in at the same time. This is the first of three walks in the August series. Founder Friday Walks was started by Kaila Pilecki and Nicole Crone of My Aligned Purpose, a Victoria coaching practice for women entrepreneurs, so that women running their own businesses have somewhere to have real conversations about business, money and growth. Meet in the parking lot at the corner of Cedar Hill Road and Churchill Drive. Friendly dogs and babies are welcome; the organisers ask that toddlers and older children stay home unless you plan to carry them, since the idea is to get everyone's heart rate up on the climb.

Business networking has a default setting: a room, a projector, and a name tag by the door. Kaila Pilecki and Nicole Crone built something else, specifically for women business owners: three Friday mornings on PKOLS, with the business talk happening on the way up. If this is for you, passing it on.
