Presented by Angel Forum
This is a session on real fundraising cases, drawn from the case studies Angel Forum uses in its own workshops. The organisers say that is where they show how things work in reality, and that investors and founders both learn from them. Both are invited, and registration is by approval rather than open sign-up. The listing names no speakers beyond the host, Irene Dorsman, who is Angel Forum's chief executive and a director. The network has run its investor forums for more than twenty-five years and lists over a hundred members, and its own account of an earlier Victoria session has angel investors talking through strategies, lessons learned, disasters and successes, plus a walk through how they evaluated Daiya Foods.
Anu's Take
Go for the second account. Angel Forum invites investors and founders both, so the same raise gets told from both ends of the table, in one room. Twenty-five years of running forums means the bad ones in the billing are real cases and not a device, and a founder's version of a no is rarely the same document as the investor's.

Different room and much lower stakes, but I know the part where you get one shot to explain something you have carried for years: mine came out in sixty seconds and placed second.
