Student teams from UVic, Camosun College and South Island high schools bring their capstone and STEAM projects to the floor. Interactive exhibits, the people who built them, and guest speakers through the day. Visitors vote on the best project. The teams get more than twenty hours of mentoring a month across the year. The showcase is the end of a long run rather than a single afternoon.

The showcase is one afternoon, and the part that makes it work runs for the eleven months before. The teams get more than twenty hours a month from a working machine shop, all year. That is the difference between a student project that stays a drawing and one that ends up on a table with a label on it.
