An unstructured Sunday walk for the local tech community. No talks, no agenda, nobody presenting. This week follows the Pickles Bluff and Mount Newton loop, five kilometres with about 250 metres of climbing. The route runs through old-growth forest and reaches the Pickles Bluff viewpoint. The Dean Park Rd gate is closed to vehicles from mid-November to mid-March, so the west entrance is the way in. It is community-organised rather than guided, with no leader and no outdoor programme, so bring water, layers, and shoes you do not mind wrecking. Reckon on 30 minutes of driving from downtown, and watch the community Discord for route or weather changes beforehand. Check the event page for the exact meeting point and to register.
