An unstructured Sunday walk for the local tech community. No talks, no agenda, nobody presenting. This week takes the Deep Highlands loop, about nine kilometres with 300 metres of climbing. The line goes over Seymour Hill and Stewart Mountain, rugged and overgrown in places. It is community-organised rather than guided, with no leader and no outdoor programme, so bring water, layers, and shoes you do not mind wrecking. Reckon on 15 minutes of driving from downtown, and watch the community Discord for route or weather changes beforehand. Check the event page for the exact meeting point and to register.
Anu's Take
Nine kilometres, and the shortest drive of the lot to reach the start of it. 'Rugged and overgrown in places' is a phrase doing a lot of quiet work in that listing.
