Founders describe features, marketers turn those into positioning, and sales interprets them once more for the buyer. What made the product worth building thins out at every handoff, and nobody in the chain notices. A panel of three, from the technology, strategy and marketing sides, works through where that breakdown happens inside a growing company, then opens the floor to whatever positioning problem you brought with you. Doors open half an hour early, and the room stays open afterwards for networking with nibbles and a cash bar.

Anu's Take

The gap between building something and explaining it is old, well documented, and still unsolved. What has changed is that a growing share of the handoffs in between no longer runs through a person at all: one system summarises for another, and whatever made the product worth buying quietly does not survive the trip. Panels like this one tend to get lively enough to go there, which is the part I would want to hear.

I keep finding the same shape in software budgets, where a CPA catches the financial anomalies and a technologist catches the licensing ones, and nobody is reading both.
