This VIATEC peer roundtable convenes senior technical leaders, CTOs, architects, and experienced developers around the central question of how engineers add value when AI can generate most of the code. The previous session explored achieving 10x productivity with AI, the hiring challenges AI creates, a non-technical carpenter who built a feature-complete ERP for his workplace, and structured Markdown-file-based workflow techniques. Attendees are asked to bring their recent AI workflow wins and struggles, techniques they have tried such as .md files and MCP, and honest views on where developers now create unique value. The format is peer-led with minimal structure: intros, shared stories of what is and is not working, and open discussion.

The last session was very diverse and amazing collection of individuals. I can't wait to get back into it this week.
