In Ukraine, a procurement system that used to grind for years now runs on two-week sprints that connect inventors directly with the units who will use what they build. Good ideas get funded and scaled immediately; bad ones get killed before a dollar is wasted. Russia's advantage is scale, Ukraine's is tempo. Marc Stoiber hosts Igor Kolosiuk and Sergii Vlashchenko, co-founders of Snake Island Lab and both also at Sigen AI. Both are native Ukrainians, both served in the Ukrainian military, and both still work closely with it. Kolosiuk works across computer vision, AI governance and robotics with a manufacturing background; Vlashchenko has twenty years across defence, dual-use and critical-infrastructure programs, including advising Ukraine's Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Infrastructure. The pitch is aimed wider than defence: how any founder or funder separates real innovation from expensive guesswork.
