Lunch & Learn: AI 101

This June Lunch and Learn at theDock Centre for Social Impact offers an accessible introduction to artificial intelligence for people still getting their heads around it at a foundational level. Jamie Henderson of the Victoria Data Society walks through what AI is, how it is being used, the benefits some organizations have seen, and the pitfalls others have encountered. Rather than diving into deep agentic builds or trying to automate every workflow on day one, the session focuses on how non-profits can begin exploring AI tools in practical, realistic ways. It includes examples of lessons learned, open discussion, and space for questions from attendees at all levels of familiarity. Tea and coffee are provided, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
