GitHub Copilot Dev Days Victoria was the first GitHub Copilot Dev Days Canada event in the city, bringing together builders, maintainers, and developers for an afternoon focused on modern GitHub-powered workflows, open tooling, and hands-on learning. The event was GitHub-centric but fully tool-agnostic, welcoming users of VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, Claude Code, or any other stack. The agenda featured lightning talks, live demos from local engineers, and a community social, with speakers including Ve Sharma, a Microsoft Solution Engineer presenting on the agentic SDLC, and Jeremy Moseley, a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, on how five engineers ship 200 pull requests a week. Food and drinks were provided by Microsoft and GitHub, with the space hosted by PwC.
